UNITED KINGDOM – With a more infectious strain of Covid-19 in the community and tight restrictions on gatherings, Christmas in the United Kingdom was a silent, solitary affair for many Singaporeans there.

Many told The Sunday Times they had looked forward to a Christmas respite of small gatherings as the UK originally planned to relax restrictions for the festive period.
