150MW储能落地保加利亚:阳光电源用PowerTitan撬开欧洲储能的隐秘战局

Many industry observers are calling this Bulgaria project a “milestone for energy transition.” That’s surface-level talk. What it really is, is Sungrow’s calculated strike to dominate Southeast Europe’s utility-scale storage market. The project’s technical specs and compliance credentials aren’t just box-ticking—they’re barriers to entry for local players.

Official releases say the 150MW/600MWh BESS in Nova Zagora went live on June 12, 2026. It uses Sungrow’s PowerTitan 2.0 liquid-cooled tech, funded by Bulgaria’s RESTORE program. It’s one of Bulgaria’s largest storage projects, and the first step in a collaboration announced at Intersolar 2025 (targeting 800MWh in Nova Zagora, with 1GWh expansion on the table). The subtext? Sungrow isn’t testing the waters. It’s rolling out a proven system that’s already deployed across Europe. PowerTitan’s compact design cuts land use, a critical edge in regions where plot approvals drag on for months.

Officially, Sungrow and Sunotec will bring 2.2GWh online in the next two months, hitting 3GWh by end-2026. Pipeline includes Enery’s Knizhnovik Phase1, a 100MW/200MWh hybrid. Nova Zagora is also one of Bulgaria’s first fully compliant utility-scale storage projects. The subtext here is compliance as a weapon. European grid rules are notoriously strict. By checking that box early, Sungrow locks in partnerships with local developers like Enery who need turnkey, compliant solutions. Enery’s portfolio optimization skills mean these assets will generate steady returns, making future projects easier to finance.

Sungrow’s 1000GW global installed base and 520+ service network give it an unbeatable cost and support advantage. European storage providers will struggle to match its pricing and deployment speed in Southeast Europe. Expect more local integrators to pivot to partnering with Chinese tech firms instead of building their own systems.
